It's hard to believe that we’re almost in the “holiday” season already! Wasn’t it just New Years a few weeks ago?
Kids are going back to school…
Stores are lining their shelves with decorations for fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and even Christmas! Plus, this year, we’ve got election day that you could play with in your marketing. WARNING: unless your audience has a political angle, you may want to steer clear of choosing sides! But, you COULD have your subscribers vote for a new product idea!
So it’s time to start looking at your holiday promo schedule to take advantage of the season. Get creative, but not cliche! And with a couple months to plan, you have plenty of time to make the most of your holiday marketing.
Plus… take advantage of some of the “quirky” holidays out there… like “National Nutrition Week” if you’re in the health and wellness market, or “National Breast Cancer Awareness Month” and donate a portion of all your proceeds to the charity (there are lots of these throughout the year so you could pick a cause near and dear to your heart and donate a portion of all profits to that for a month, week, or even for a single promo).
The idea is to get creative and to take advantage of the holiday season… and perhaps play with some of the less than mainstream days, weeks and months out there!
