Your 2016 Marketing Calendar
I know we're already into 2016, but chances are that despite your best intentions, you haven't put together a marketing calendar for the new year just yet.
That's okay! Most of us got busy over the holidays and didn't quite get all the things done going into the new year.
But now is the time to get your marketing calendar in place for 2016, at least the first 3 months. This will allow you to build in content pieces, product promotions, and launches while still focusing on client experience and giving them what they want and expect to see from you.
Consider having a little more fun with your marketing in 2016 as well. For instance, take a goofy holiday like "International Skeptics Day" on January 13th, and run a promotion around that. These silly promotions help you to keep it light and offer products and services in a different light. It also gives you a unique angle that other people or businesses in your space won't have, which makes you memorable and unique.
The other benefit is that you can have all of your copy written in advance and have your emails programmed so that you aren't having to scramble every time it's time to send out an email.
Planning ahead also allows you to test different campaigns, track results more accurately and set goals and milestones. You'll be able to take the information and plan ahead for future months. So... take a few minutes and plan out the first quarter of 2016 this week.
