Email Marketing Tips for Beating the Summer Slump!
Over the last 10 years, we've consistently seen a "dip" in open rates, in particular, over the summer. As people pack their bags for vacations, they leave their inboxes behind or check them less frequently, searching for only the important personal emails through the clutter on their iPhones.
So what can you do to battle the summer slump?
1. Re-run campaigns to non openers (changing subject lines, of course).
In other words, if you're running a product promotion, consider extending the promo and sending the campaign out to non openers a week or two after the promo runs. If you're using the new EmailDelivered Automation Software, you can use triggers to do this for all of your broadcasts automatically or segments to automate campaign sequences.
2. Start planning fall and holiday promotions now so you're prepared when September rolls around.
If you can get them in the can now, it'll give you more time to focus on other things during the busy season ahead.

People are on vacation and are sharing their fun on social media. Run Facebook campaigns. Connect with a "hashtag" campaign. While it strays from email marketing, it's still helps with engagement and strengthening your connection with your subscribers.
4. Offer summer themed promotions by getting creative.
Tap into some of the wacky weird "holidays" like "National Ice Cream Sandwich Day"!
5. Infuse some humor in your marketing.
People want a little break from all the serious stuff during the summer. Therefore, give them something to entertain them a little more than normal.
