IP Warmup
The IP Warmup phase is one of the most important things to consider when you’re moving to a dedicated IP address (or IP addresses).
EmailDelivered will first help you determine how many IP addresses you need based on your email volume, time sensitivity of messages, type of communication, etc.
For example, you may choose to send transactional emails through one IP and marketing emails through another or recently engaged subscribers through one IP and re-engagement campaigns through another.
Once we’ve determined how many IP addresses you’ll need to accomplish your goals, we’ll give you a specific warm up plan best suited to your needs which addresses which subscribers to mail to first, the best type of content to send out, and the right frequency for optimal success.
During the warm up period, we closely monitor things such as:
- Bad addresses (unknown users)
- Complaint rates
- Spam traps
- Bounce logs
- Etc.
The more careful you are during the warmup, the better foundation you’ll have for long term success.
The IP warmup period can be as little as a few days to as long a 30+ days depending on the factors above.
